Introduction

Dssein, a 20-year-old individual, posted pictures on Reddit showing his weight transformation in just three months. He gained 12 pounds (lb) through a clean bulking diet and quickly reduced his weight using the ketogenic diet to lose fat.

Bulking Diet

Dssein ate tons of carbs, protein, and fat to bulk up. For breakfast, he ate 5 eggs, 2 sausages, and a bowl of oatmeal. For lunch, he ate large amounts of steak or chicken, rice, and veggies. And for his fourth meal, he drank homemade bulkshakes made of 2 scoops of oatmeal, one scoop of protein, a banana, peanut butter, and milk. This high-calorie diet resulted in fast growth but also stretched his skin and caused a fear of gaining more fat.

Cutting Diet

Dssein switched to a keto diet and consumed no more than 40-50g of carbs per day. He maintained a high intake of protein and fat and added cardio (15 minutes of jump rope) to accelerate fat loss. He reduced his calories to get down to 10% body fat and lose the weight he had gained.

Tips for Bulking and Cutting

If you are looking to gain mass, it's essential to consume high-calorie, nutrient-dense foods. Incorporate foods that are protein-rich, such as chicken, steak, and fish. For carbs, opt for healthy sources like brown rice, quinoa, and sweet potatoes. When it comes to fat, use olive oil, nuts, and peanut butter to increase calorie intake. During the cutting phase, decrease carbs and keep fats and proteins high while adding cardio to your routine.

Conclusion

Dssein's weight transformation journey shows that hard work and dedication can pay off. It's not always easy to put on or lose weight, but implementing healthy eating and exercise habits can help change your body composition. Try out different diets and exercise routines to see what works best for you and adjust accordingly to achieve your fitness goals.
