A 10-pound weight loss body recomp progress

User ihavecandygetinmyvan shared his body transformation journey on Reddit. Over 4 months, he lost 10 pounds while recomping. He swapped fat for muscles, and his body ratio changed. His weight went down from 190 to 180 pounds.

Training routine and progress

Ihavecandygetinmyvan followed a lifting program where he focused on perfecting the form and increasing reps instead of lifting heavy. He made incredible strength gains, particularly in his bench press. His bench press increased from 115 to 215 pounds. He attributed his success in the gym to taking his time and focusing on form, as well as pushing himself during each training session.

Diet and calories intake

His diet was not strict but consisted of roughly 2,000 to 2400 calories a day, heavy in protein. He accomplished his caloric goal by keeping track of how much he weighed and adjusted his fitness intake accordingly.

Challenges and obstacles user faced

Ihavecandygetinmyvan must have encountered a few bumps in his journey. One of the setbacks he admitted was a torn ACL in his knee. For this reason, he was careful not to put excess pressure on it by lifting heavy loads in squats and deadlifts.

Advice to those starting their fitness journey

Ihavecandygetinmyvan took baby steps and focused on form and technique before lifting hefty weights. He ate the right kind of food and avoided empty calories. If you're just starting a fitness journey, take it slow, perfect your movements, and eat healthily. With enough patience and hard work, you can recreate a lean, healthy, and muscular body like ihavecandygetinmyvan.
