Introduction

When it comes to weight loss, everyone has their unique journey. One 19-year-old male, acemeunpete69, shared his experience on Reddit, a push/pull/split/quasi-recovery cycle that he has been following, and his success in taking off excess weight and becoming advanced in his workouts.

Logging Workouts

From October 22nd, acemeunpete69 was logging his workouts, which chronicles his push/pull/split/quasi-recovery cycle. He posted his workout info in a comment on Reddit, which included push, legs, pull, and planks/side-planks that he was following. The workout regime was inspired by Matt Ogus' postings on his workouts. He chose his favorite routines and ran with them.

Push Day

On his push day, he would do incline bench press, decline bench press, Arnold press, machine fly, tricep bar pushdown, and skull crushers. Each of these exercises would be done for 3-5 sets depending on acemeunpete69's capacity, with a rep range from 8 to 12.

Legs Day

During the legs day routine, he did Romanian deadlifts, hyperextensions, squats, leg curls, and calf raises. Again the sets and reps varied for each exercise according to his ability.

Pull Day

On the pull day, acemeunpete69 would do dumbbell rows, overhand BB rows, pullups, face pulls, BB curls, and shoulder flies. He did 5 sets of each exercise with a rep range between 8 to 12.

Conclusion

By following the push/pull/split/quasi-recovery cycle and sticking to his diet, acemeunpete69 was able to take off the excess weight, and his strength increased tremendously. It is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but with dedication and patience, anyone can find what works for them to see progress in their weight loss journey.
