F/27/5’6 [205 > 195 lbs = 10 lbs] (just under a year and a half between photos) I lost a lot of inches in areas of my body, but the scale hasn’t changed much. I think it’s due to my body being more toned/ muscular. Happy with the results regardless, and excited to see where I’m at 1.5yrs from now!

Introduction

Amberrrellllaa, an F/27 who stands 5’6” tall, shares her fitness journey from 205 to 195 pounds, losing 10 pounds in just under a year and a half between photos. She lost inches in certain parts of her body, but the scale did not exhibit significant changes. She believes this is due to her body being more toned/muscular. Despite that, she is happy with the results and excited to see where she’ll be in the next 1.5 years.

Consistency in the Gym

Amberrrellllaa mentioned that the main thing that worked for her in hitting her fitness goals was having consistency in the gym. She focused more heavily on weight training and incorporated cardio more into her routine post lifting weights. Her best advice is to find workouts that one enjoys and just hammer them out for months at a time. One should also do their research on push/pull days, figure out a schedule/routine for the body parts/areas they want to train and stick to it until they feel the need to switch it up or increase weight.

Eating Tips

When it comes to Amberrrellllaa’s eating habits, she admits that her diet fluctuates a lot. She eats whatever she wants at times, and other times she keeps it strictly clean, depending on if she’s focused on training at that time. Her best advice is for those who want to focus on building muscle, protein is one’s best friend. If the focus is on losing weight, the only way she managed that was by being in a caloric deficit. Amberrrellllaa found a lot of her answers from fitness/food pages on Instagram and exclusively followed people who give important info for free, as well as show their workouts and how to do them.

Water and Self-Discipline

Amberrrellllaa’s other recommendations include drinking plenty of water because it helps with curbing snacking and feeling fuller. It’s also good to meal prep healthy meals to ensure that one has healthy options at home. One should delete food ordering apps for a while, go for walks or get their steps in, and practice self-discipline as much as possible.

Conclusion

In conclusion, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to one’s fitness journey, but consistency, having a proper workout schedule, and eating habit are keys to success. Amberrrellllaa’s progress report shows that progress is possible as long as one is willing to put in the work.
