M/27/6’0 [253 > 145 = 108lbs lost] In the last year I’ve been focusing a lot more on eating better and working out consistently. Obviously, the extra skin isn’t going anywhere unless I opt for surgery but I do feel like there’s been some progress in the definition of my abdominal region.

Losing weight can be a challenging journey, but it is possible. One Reddit user, [deleted], transformed their body within a year, going from 253lbs to 145lbs. In this article, we'll explore their journey and what they learned along the way.

Dedication to Better Eating

According to [deleted], their weight loss journey started with a focus on their diet. They cut out fast food and processed foods, and instead, focused on eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. They also began tracking their calories using an app. By being mindful of what they ate, [deleted] lost a significant amount of weight in the first few months.

Consistent Exercise

Diet alone wasn't enough for [deleted], so they also incorporated consistent exercise into their routine. They started with light cardio exercises, such as walking, and gradually transitioned to more intense workouts, such as weightlifting. Consistency was key for [deleted], who made sure to exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week.

Challenges and Successes

While [deleted] experienced great success in their transformation, they also faced challenges. They noted that loose skin was a concern, and that it may not go away without surgery. However, they also found success in the definition of their abdominal region. Overall, [deleted] cites dedication and self-discipline as the biggest factors in their weight loss journey.
