Introduction

Losing weight can seem like an overwhelming task, but with the right workout and nutrition plan, it is achievable. Reddit user ichaseroombas lost 32lbs in 4 months with his mix of P/P/L split and home circuits. In this article, we will dive into his routine and diet.

Workout routine

ichaseroombas followed a push/pull/legs (P/P/L) split with 1-2 compound lifts for strength (3-4 sets of 5 reps), followed by isolation lifts for 3 sets of 8-10 reps. He focused on one particular muscle group for isolation and emphasized slow and controlled movements to increase time under tension. He also did core exercises on alternating days with reps ranging from 8-20. Cardio was not his priority but would occasionally do light runs or long walks for enjoyment.

Home circuits

In addition to his P/P/L split, ichaseroombas included home circuits using BJ Gaddour's suggestions from Instagram. The circuits provided an extra boost for cardio and fat loss.

Nutrition plan

While ichaseroombas did not count his macros, he was conscious about what he ate and when he ate it. He used a Nutribullet to make green breakfast smoothies and post-workout protein smoothies. He made a conscious effort to cut out added sugar and refined grains and replaced them with veggies (spinach or kale in the smoothies, various greens in salads, and sides like zucchini or cucumber).

Conclusion

The combination of his P/P/L split, home circuits, and nutrition plan helped ichaseroombas lose 32lbs in 4 months. His journey teaches us that with the right plan, losing weight is achievable. It is important to find a workout and nutrition plan that works for you and stick to it. It may take time and effort, but the results are worth it.
