Introduction
In today's world, more and more people are becoming health conscious and prioritizing fitness. One such Reddit user, PopTheTrunkTho, embarked on a weight loss journey and documented his progress over the course of three months. We will look at his journey and highlight the changes that he implemented to reduce his weight.
Overall Transformation
PopTheTrunkTho initially intended to cut but ended up gaining 10 pounds instead. Even though he was not sure where the weight went, he reported being moderately happy with the transformation. He reported that he could have been more diligent about his diet, with his drinking habit being the main culprit. He was also sidelined on several occasions due to injuries, which hindered his progress.
Exercise
To achieve his target, PopTheTrunkTho adopted the Stronglifts program, which he followed meticulously. However, he had to drop the weight and re-build a few times due to unrelated incidents such as a sprained ankle and form-related hiccups that caused minor injuries. His working weight for 5x5 increased by a considerable amount, which reflected his progress. He also learned to focus on form which, even though it did not significantly improve his strength, made his movements more efficient, reducing the risk of injuries.
Diet
PopTheTrunkTho did not take his diet as seriously as he probably should have, ignoring macros and calorie count. He continued to drink moderately 2 to 3 nights a week, which added calories to his diet. Despite this, he aimed to hit his protein goals through efficient food choices, which included eggs, turkey breast, greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, and occasional protein shakes.
Conclusion
PopTheTrunkTho's journey highlights the importance of discipline and consistency when it comes to weight loss. It serves as an inspiration to anyone who wants to take control of their physical health. While there may have been some setbacks, his moderate transformation after only three months exemplifies the potential that anyone can have. His story shows that even small changes can have considerable impacts, and that anyone can make progress towards healthier living.
