DrDdg, a 35-year-old man, went from weighing 196lb to 145lb in just four months, successfully shedding 51 pounds off his weight. His inspiration was to finally get rid of his love handles, which he accomplished when he reached 165lb.

Paleo Diet

DrDdg attributed his success to following the Paleo diet, which he started 3 months after he began his weight loss journey. He slowly ramped up to this diet and has since maintained a primal diet structure 5-6 days a week to enjoy sugary stuff from time to time. He swapped his coffee intake for green tea, which helped him cut down on sugar.

Exercise Regimen

DrDdg engaged in a variety of physical activities to burn calories, including stand-up paddleboarding, running, swimming, kung fu, tai chi, and yoga. He used protein shakes as a post-workout treat and grabbed bites of cucumber sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, and nitrate-free bacon for snacking throughout the day.

Diet Details

Before switching to his Paleo diet, DrDdg’s caloric intake comprised burgers, dairy products, pizza, pasta, ice cream, Kit Kats, coffee, cream, and sugar. His current Paleo diet comprises mixed salads, grass-fed beef, Cajun catfish, protein shakes, nitrate-free uncured bacon, almond milk, and minimal fruit and nuts.

Mental Toughness

DrDdg maintained focus throughout his weight loss journey by shifting from a temporary good feeling from tasty food to feeling good all the time by eating healthy. He shared his success stories on Reddit to inspire people struggling with weight issues to take control of their health using dietary strategies and physical activities that work for them.
