Cutting out Soda and Fast Food

The user started their weight loss journey by reducing their soda and sugary drink consumption. They also started eating fast food only once a month or so. This helped them start to lose weight slowly but surely.

Adding in Exercise

After seeing some small differences, the user was motivated to add exercise to their routine. They started jogging/walking a mile about 3 days a week and eventually increased their distance to 2 miles/4 days a week while also changing their diet to grilled chicken, veggies, and brown rice/sweet potato. This helped them drop from 210 to 180 pounds.

Lifting and Gym Memberships

The user then started lifting about 3 times a week while cutting down on cardio. They did a variety of workouts at home, even though they were intimidated by getting a gym membership. They eventually divided their workouts and got a gym membership, following a routine that was similar to Muscle and Strength's Intermediate Muscle Building Workout. This helped them drop to 160lbs and focus on adding more muscle.

The Importance of Small Changes

This user's weight loss journey was slow and steady, but it shows that making small changes to your diet and exercise routine can make a big difference. By cutting out soda and fast food, adding in exercise, lifting, and eventually getting a gym membership, they were able to drop 50lbs over two years.

Takeaway

While this user's journey may not work for everyone, it does show that making small changes can have a big impact on your weight loss journey. Try cutting out soda or fast food, adding in some exercise, or even getting a gym membership. The key is to stay dedicated and motivated, even when it's tough.
