Intro

Gigahert, a reddit user who goes by the username u/Gigahert, has been documenting his weight loss journey on Reddit. In just six weeks, he managed to lose 22 pounds and shared his gym and keto diet plan that helped him achieve his goal.

Gym routine

Gigahert went to Pure Workout, a gym in Salt Lake City, where he did high intensity cardio, strength training, lots of plyometric exercises and worked out for an hour a day six to seven days a week. Apart from this, he also played sports like mountain biking, running, and hill sprints.

Keto Diet Plan

Gigahert followed a keto-based diet plan with high protein/low carb and spread out over 6-7 meals a day. He did not eat large meals just snacked all day. It was based on lean protein and greens. The secret to his diet was to prevent hunger and not let oneself feel like eating a lot. Gigahert drank up to 2 gallons of water a day to stay hydrated.

Motivation and tips

Gigahert completely cut out junk food from his diet, mainly beer. He was on a 6-week challenge program and would have received his money back if he lost 20+ pounds. Motivation was not the money, though, as he just wanted to shed weight to improve how he looked. He found it more comfortable to stick to his diet and meal plans as he was never fond of junk food. Lastly, inspiration also came from sticking to his plan 100%, avoiding cheat meals while also measuring food for proper calorie intake.

Conclusion

Gigahert's weight loss journey is just one example of how commitment, motivation, and discipline can help us reach our goal. Although the plan worked for him, it is always recommended to consult your physician before making any change in your diet or starting intense workout programs. It is crucial to listen to your body and find a plan that works uniquely for your needs.
