Starting my journey

At the age of 22 and standing at 6'1", I weighed 226 pounds. I knew it was time to make a change. I started by tracking my calories, cutting out junk food, and exercising regularly.

Breaking through plateaus

After a few months, I hit a plateau with my weight loss. I realized that I needed to switch up my routine and try new exercises. I also started incorporating more protein into my diet and focusing on strength training to build muscle.

Staying on track

It wasn't easy, but I stayed committed to my goals. I made sure to track my progress and celebrate small victories along the way. I also found a support system through friends and family who encouraged me to keep going.

Maintaining my weight loss

Now that I'm at my goal weight of 175 pounds, I continue to stay active and maintain a healthy diet. I've learned that it's important to listen to my body and give it the nutrients and exercise it needs. 3.5 years later, I'm proud to say that I've kept the weight off!

Takeaways

From my experience, I've learned that weight loss is a journey that requires patience, dedication, and a willingness to try new things. By tracking my progress, breaking through plateaus, and staying committed, I was able to achieve my goals. If you're on your own weight loss journey, I encourage you to keep going and find what works for you!
