Introduction
Meet chugson, a 29-year-old woman who lost 100 pounds in the span of a year by changing her lifestyle. In this post, chugson shared her progress journey of weight loss with the community of Reddit to inspire and motivate others.
Changing Her Lifestyle
Chugson admits that she lost about 10lbs over the span of six months by exercising but eating like before. Her lifestyle changed largely due to her decision to work out 5+ days a week doing a mix of weight training, Pilates/Yoga/Tai-Chi, boxing, and running. Her favorite? Boxing and long runs. She also kept a food diary and had a “food coach” at her gym, who reviewed her food intake and weighed her once a week for a year.
Eat More Regular Meals & Keep Portion Sizes in Check
Chugson did not follow any particular diet plan, but started eating regular meals throughout the day, i.e. breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. She focuses more on the portions than the type of food, but shift balance from carb-heavy to a protein/carb balance. Additionally, she avoids carbs in the evening as they make her feel bloated; however, she doesn't ditch them altogether for the day as she tends to feel hungry.
Returning to Her Normal Routine
Chugson had to take a couple of months off her gym membership due to an abdominal surgery that affected her fitness routine. During that time, she got lax with her diet and exercise, but with the all-clear to start exercising again, she has sights set to getting back to her fitness routine. Her return to a proper routine will help get her ass in gear to lose the last 5-10kg.
Conclusion
Chugson's weight loss journey shows how dedication and a conscious lifestyle change can work wonders in achieving one's desired fitness goals. Her post on Reddit is an inspiration to many, and an excellent reminder that there are no quick-fix solutions. It takes time, effort, and a willingness to keep trying. Remember, it worked for Chugson, it can work for you too!
