Gaining 11lbs with No Special Supplements

After losing 70lbs in 2018-2019 through Keto and CICO, Reddit user turneresq still felt unsatisfied with his body composition. He was skinny fat and desired to improve it. Although it was a difficult journey during the pandemic, he managed to see some results through resistance bands at home and learning about nutrition. He was mostly Keto until Fall 2021 when he experimented with a low-carb diet.

Training Split and Coaching

His training split was quite conventional, starting with PPL to 3-day full body routine. Recently, he started a new 4-day split and is working with a coach to improve his fitness further. He eats 2600 kcal a day and lifts heavy, enabling him to gain muscle instead of fat.

Successes and Failures Along the Journey

As with any fitness journey, turneresq experienced both success and failure. In early 2021, he tried a lean bulk that turned out to be a dirty bulk, and he gained a lot of fat. However, he kept learning from his failures and used these experiences to improve his future workouts and diet. Through dedication and resilience, he has managed to maintain a healthy and fit body.

Age is Only a Number

Turneresq emphasizes that it's never too late to change and improve one's body. Although aging presents different challenges, it is possible to transform one's physique with the right mindset and discipline. He also credits his consistent diet for his success.

Final Thoughts

Turneresq's gym journey is a testament to the fact that patience, perseverance, and hard work can help one achieve anything. He reminds everyone to find their motivation, stay open-minded, and keep learning from their successes and failures. Anyone can follow in his footsteps - start with a conventional training routine, eat a consistent diet, and keep pushing yourself until you see progress.
