Introduction

RunningWithIt, a 20-year old male using the Reddit platform as a means of tracking his progress, shared his goal of shedding the last few pounds. His starting weight was at 196 lbs, and he planned on losing weight through a combination of exercise and diet.

Exercise Plan

RunningWithIt planned to work a 3-day split for weights: chest and triceps, back and biceps, and legs and shoulders targeting the upper body and legs. His running routine would be through six mornings a week with additional cardio on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. He did note that his routine was somewhat optimistic and subject to tweaking if he burned out.

Diet Plan

RunningWithIt planned to limit dairy and carbs in his diet, primarily following the principles of paleo. He acknowledged that the process of figuring out what worked for him would be a learning experience.

Challenges

RunningWithIt's main challenge was nailing the proper form for weightlifting exercises, which he admitted was a struggle in the beginning. He was also struggling with figuring out the number of calories he should consume, stating that the conflicting info out was a barrier.

Conclusion

RunningWithIt's story is one of determination and self-awareness of his physical and dietary limitations. His approach of a targeted exercise plan and thoughtful diet plan is an excellent guideline for others looking to lose weight or lose the last few stubborn pounds.
