She shared her struggles, methods and triumphs with the community in hopes that it inspires others to achieve their own weight loss goals.
Finding Motivation
The biggest challenge for the Reddit user was finding the motivation to start. She admitted that she had been unhappy with her weight for years but it wasn't until she started to feel the physical effects of carrying extra weight that she decided to do something about it. She said that the turning point for her was when she realized that she could no longer enjoy the activities that she used to love.
The Method
The Reddit user focused on two things when it came to her weight loss journey: diet and exercise. She started tracking her calories using a food tracker app and set a daily limit. She also cut out processed foods and focused on whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and healthy fats. She started going to the gym 5-6 times a week, focusing on cardio and weight lifting.
The Struggle
The Reddit user admitted that the journey was not easy. She struggled with cravings and at times felt discouraged. She credits the support of her family and friends, as well as the supportive Reddit community for keeping her motivated.
The Triumph
By the end of her 3-month journey, the Reddit user had lost 20 pounds and gained confidence and a healthier lifestyle. She shared that she was now able to enjoy the activities that she used to love and was excited about continuing her weight loss journey.
