Introduction

A 21-year-old Reddit user, Iklowto, has shared their success story of losing 16 lbs in 5 months. Their goal was to be able to go shirtless without feeling self-conscious during the summer. While they still have more progress to make, their results are impressive.

Diet

After trying many diets in the past without success, Iklowto discovered intermittent fasting. This approach allowed them to eat what they wanted in the evenings while still maintaining a caloric deficit. Iklowto has been primarily eating chicken, rice, and curry dishes, as well as ground beef chili and rice dishes which are both cheap and easy to make in bulk.

Workout Routine

Iklowto has been following a 2-day split workout routine, alternating between chest, triceps, and shoulders on one day and legs, back, and abs on the other. They rest on the 3rd day. Interestingly, Iklowto found that their lifts stayed the same during their cut, except for squat and deadlift which they actually increased in weight.

Results

While Iklowto didn't measure their food intake precisely, they estimated that a large cup of rice, 2 kg's of chicken, 800ml of coconut milk, and 500g of frozen veggies lasted for roughly 5 or 6 days. Their progress was noticeable in their cheekbones and confidence in their appearance. They have encouraged others to try things out for themselves.

Conclusion

Iklowto's success story demonstrates the importance of discipline and finding what works for your individual needs. Their use of intermittent fasting and a 2-day split workout routine may work for some, but not necessarily for others. It's important to try different approaches and find what works best for you. Congratulations to Iklowto on their progress so far!
