A picture of a 5'5" female showing a weight loss from 235 pounds to 202 pounds. A respectable loss of 33 pounds.
F/27/5'5" [235 >202=33 lbs in 10 weeks] was starting to feel discouraged that although the scale shows progress, I didn't see it in the mirror until I saw this face comparison. Just gotta keep going.

The Journey to Losing 33lbs

This Reddit user, LesisMore17, shared her weight journey on the platform. She posted a photo on the forum, and to everyone's surprise, she had lost 33lbs within 10 weeks. She weighed 235lbs, and she had managed to reduce it to 202lbs. LesisMore17 began to feel discouraged when she wasn't seeing the progress she wanted in the mirror, but this changed when she compared two pictures of herself.

Inspirational Reddit Comments

Some of the Reddit comments were very supportive. One comment, in particular, congratulated LesisMore17 on her progress and even poked fun at her for looking 20 years younger.

No Progress, No Problem

Despite the support, LesisMore17 was still not seeing a significant difference in her size. She was wearing the same size clothes and didn't feel much of a difference, but as the comments indicated, her face appeared more toned. She came to the realization that progress isn't always instantaneous, and that every little bit counts.

Exercising and Following a Low-Carb Diet

LesisMore17 explained that for the first 20lbs, she didn't exercise, but then started to slowly work out. She has also been following a low-carb diet, which has undoubtedly helped with her weight loss. Lowering carbohydrate intake often leads to a decrease in appetite, which assists in consuming fewer overall calories.

No Magic Formula, Just Hard Work

Losing weight requires dedication, hard work, and a lifestyle change. Like LesisMore17, you will not always see results immediately. But taking progress photos and continually comparing them can be helpful motivators. Dedicate yourself to a routine of regular exercise and a balanced diet, and you, too, might be sharing your weight loss journey on Reddit.
