Mistlet03 had been living an unhealthy lifestyle until she weighed herself for the first time in 3 years before intending to donate blood. To her surprise, she weighed about 15lbs heavier than she had anticipated.

Mistlet03 cut out full-fat fizzy drinks from her diet, reducing her calorie intake to 1500 a day that she later lowered to 1200. Besides taking her dog on longer walks and completing the first 5 weeks of couch to 5k, she did not exercise much.

The weight loss process was not about entirely eliminating her favorite childhood sweets but choosing healthier alternatives and consuming them in moderation. Mistlet03 swapped cheese sandwiches for healthier options such as chicken wraps and water for fruit juices and pop with smaller portions.

Mistlet03 slowly acclimatized to the 1200 calories a day limit without going hungry. Eating little snacks less than a hundred calories when peckish and drinking lots of water also helped curb her hunger cravings. She ate cereal bars, popcorn, pretzels, and diet crisps as snacks.

The results of Mistlet03's lifestyle change were a 28 lbs weight loss, healthier clear skin, faded stretch marks, and increased confidence in her body coupled with a better relationship with her food. Her journey is inspiring, with tips for anyone looking to lose weight.
