Introduction

In 2011, Reddit user scr1be posted in the r/loseit community to document his weight journey. At the beginning of his journey, he was a 29-year-old male weighing in at 149lbs with a height of 5’7”. Scr1be decided to make conscious lifestyle changes to achieve his weight goal.

Tracking Calories Intake

Initially, scr1be tracked his caloric intake using a mobile app. He realized that by simply writing down what he ate, he became more aware of his eating habits. As his journey progressed, scr1be transitioned to eating meals that were nutritious and adequately portioned.

Increased Physical Activity

Scr1be incorporated physical activity into his routine by walking for an hour every day. As his fitness improved, he started jogging and eventually started lifting weights about four times a week. With increasing affirmation from others, scr1be’s confidence grew, and he continued to push himself to build a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Maintaining Weight Loss

Now, ten years after his journey began, scr1be still maintains a healthy weight. To him, the most significant aspect of the journey was the small and sustainable habit changes. He learned that with time, patience, and dedication, anyone can achieve their fitness goals.

Takeaway

Scr1be’s story proves that getting into shape doesn't need to be a drastic or overnight change. By tracking food intake and incorporating daily physical activity into their routine, anyone can make small habit changes that can result in significant health improvements over time.
