Introduction

Meet fiddlerontheroofies, a Reddit user who documented her weight loss journey, with incredible progress in just three months after getting vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) surgery. Fiddlerontheroofies dropped from 242lb to 194lb and shared her progress with the Reddit community.

Deciding on VSG

Fiddlerontheroofies mulled over her decision to get VSG for quite some time before deciding. She realized that while it might not be for everyone, it was the right choice for her, both emotionally and physically.

Health benefits of VSG

After getting VSG, fiddlerontheroofies started to log all of her calories and nutrients into MyFitnessPal every day. While she still counts her calories, the helpful restriction that she experiences has been amazing. It has given her more energy and stopped her from overeating.

Add exercise to routine

Since getting VSG, fiddlerontheroofies started running, got a personal trainer, and dedicated herself to having a ton more energy overall. Her side view photos showed incredible progress as her stomach had deflated, and her body looked more athletic and healthier. However, as with all weight loss journeys, there are often stalls, and fiddlerontheroofies found herself at a roadblock at 194lb for several weeks.

Motivation to continue

Fiddlerontheroofies used the Reddit community for motivation to go extra hard in the gym during her stall, hoping to hit her weight loss goal. Through her journey, fiddlerontheroofies has shown that reaching your weight loss goals is not an overnight process. Still, by making changes and adding exercise to her routine, her body has tightened, and her VSG has helped her stay on track to reach her goals.
