The Turning Point

In December 2012, Reddit user jvisme noticed that his XL shirts were getting tight and size 40 jeans had no slack in them. Determined to change, jvisme started a steady regimen in November involving running and quitting energy drinks cold turkey.

Staying Motivated

Aiming to complete a half marathon and enlisting set goals helped jvisme stay motivated during his journey. He has logged over 400 miles and completed two half marathons while the third Tough Mudder is coming up.

Healthy Eating Habits

Jvisme made a conscious effort to watch what he ate, dropping any unhealthy foods or drinks. Although not perfect, he can already see a substantial difference in his eating habits compared to last year.

Results

Jvisme has already lost 38lbs and his XL shirts and 40-sized jeans are noticeably looser. He is down to size 38 pants and is hoping to reach his goal weight of 200lbs by the end of the year. His double chin is now gone, with a noticeable improvement in his face structure.

Lessons Learned

Jvisme's journey emphasizes the importance of sticking to a routine, healthy eating, and staying motivated through goal-setting. Embarking on small changes can produce noticeable results over time.
