Starting her journey at 200 pounds

The reddit user [deleted] started her journey at 200 pounds, feeling unhappy with herself and unsure how to make a change. Like many others, she had tried dieting before but had never managed to stick with it. Tired of feeling stuck, she turned to reddit for support and inspiration.

Rediscovering a love for exercise

One of the key things that made [deleted]'s journey successful was finding an exercise routine that she enjoyed. Having previously struggled with gym workouts, she discovered that she loved running and started tracking her progress using a running app. This helped her to stay motivated and made exercise feel like less of a chore.

Making small changes to her diet

While [deleted] didn't follow a strict diet plan, she started making small changes to her eating habits. She cut down on sugary drinks, snacking, and portion sizes, and made an effort to cook more meals from scratch. This helped her to create a sustainable way of eating that didn't feel like a punishment.

Celebrating the highs and lows

Throughout her journey, [deleted] celebrated every milestone, no matter how small. Whether it was running a longer distance, fitting into a smaller dress size, or simply feeling more confident in her body, she made sure to recognize her progress. However, she was also honest about the tougher days, and shared openly on reddit when she struggled to stay on track.

Encouraging others to try for themselves

While [deleted] received lots of support from the reddit community, she stresses that everyone's weight loss journey is different. There's no one-size-fits-all solution, and what worked for her might not work for someone else. However, she hopes that by sharing her story, she can inspire others to try things out for themselves and find a way of getting healthy that feels sustainable and enjoyable.
