Supersets
Definition
A superset is a training technique where two exercises are performed back-to-back with no rest in between. These two exercises are usually targeting different muscle groups to maximize the workout and increase calorie burn.
Examples of Supersets
An example of a superset would be performing a set of bicep curls and then immediately following it up with a set of tricep dips. Another example would be performing a set of squats and immediately following it up with a set of lunges. This allows you to work multiple muscle groups in less time, and can be great for increasing the intensity of your workouts.

Confused With
Supersets are often confused with drop sets, in which an exercise is performed to failure and then the weight is reduced and the exercise is continued with less weight. However, in supersets the weight is usually kept constant and the two exercises are performed alternately.
