Drop Sets

Drop Sets

Drop sets, also known as descending sets, are a strength training technique that involves performing an exercise for a certain number of reps or until failure, and then immediately reducing the weight and continuing to perform more reps until failure again. This process can be repeated multiple times, with the weight being lowered each time, hence the name 'drop' sets.

Example of Drop Sets:

For example, if you were performing bicep curls with dumbbells, you might start with 20lb weights and perform as many reps as possible until failure. Then, you would quickly drop the weight to 15lbs and continue curling until failure again. You might drop the weight one more time to 10lbs and continue curling until failure.
