From Abusive Relationship to One-derland

The Reddit user, Iamnotanacrobat, started her weight loss journey after leaving an abusive relationship. Her 8-hour train commute and 8-hour desk job didn't leave much time for exercise.

Weight Watchers to My Fitness Pal

Iamnotanacrobat originally lost weight through Weight Watchers' pro-points system but wasn't exercising. When she set up her own business, she found herself sitting in bed or at the desk for long periods, causing her to regain the weight. She then switched to My Fitness Pal and set a daily calorie goal of 1,200-1,500.

Tracking Steps and Doing Zumba

After recovering from pneumonia, Iamnotanacrobat started tracking her steps using a Fitbit and aimed for 7-10k a day. She turned to Zumba workouts with Xbox Kinect and YouTube to exercise regularly.

Long Way To Go, But Seeing It As a Journey

Iamnotanacrobat is still in the process of losing weight and is aiming for 154-168lb. She sees her weight loss journey as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Even at her slimmest in her teens (140lb), her natural hourglass figure still had big boobs and hips.

Tips and Tricks

Iamnotanacrobat shared some tips and tricks for those looking to lose weight: track your calories and exercise regularly, watch your portion sizes, and make it a lifestyle change rather than a temporary diet. She also recommends setting small, achievable goals to keep yourself motivated.
