F/25/5'6 [170lbs > 140lbs = 30lbs] (nearly 2 years) I could never see progress until I compared this outfit. The first picture was 15lbs down in February and the first time I could "fit" in this dress. Now it fits much better!

Small and steady wins the race

twinliz, a 25-year-old woman, lost an impressive 30lbs over roughly two years. She revealed in a Reddit post how she only started to see the progress she made when she compared it to an earlier photograph. Her approach was to eat healthily and move more consistently with small modifications and a consistent fitness routine.

The joy in the journey

In the Reddit post, twinliz shared just how important small steps are, and how she stayed motivated throughout her weight loss journey. By breaking down her goal into manageable pieces, the milestones that she achieved along the way fueled her ambition to keep going.

The need for consistency

When twinliz began her journey, she started by vague attempts to eat healthier and become more active. She lost around 10lbs in the first year, which was not enough to motivate her to keep going. In the end, she started counting her calories, walking five times a day, and consuming smaller meals. She hit a plateau six months down the line, but she noted in her Reddit post that consistency was the key to progress.

Incremental change makes a difference

Twinliz achieved her goal by persevering with small changes. She noted that even after hitting a plateau, the consistency of her fitness routines continued in both diet and exercises. In addition, walking for an hour a day helped to contribute to her 30lbs weight loss in two years. While it may not sound like a lot, every effort counts.

Step outside your comfort zone

Twinliz's natural progression to a healthier lifestyle began with small measurements, but she motivated herself to go even further by leaving her comfort zone. Through discipline and the tenacity of her routine, she not only accomplished her fitness goals but improved her general well-being.
