Shadowkat66 started slow: going to the gym once a week because she still had to be careful about her knee. As soon as it got better, she went back to doing Karate twice a week and gym once or twice a week. Her friends decided to take part in a Tough Mudder, which she figured would be a good reason to work out more. She completed it in the end. ;)
The Changes She Made to Her Diet
Shadowkat66 never went on a diet because most of them are useless anyways. Instead, she slowly started changing things. From consuming pizza almost every second day, McDonald's, too much candy, and lots of soda, she started basing most of her meals around fish, chicken, and vegetables. She cut back on sweet snacks, without giving them up entirely, and forced herself to drink water when at home. She still had beer from time to time, ate pizza, had crisps, sweets, and sodas, but in moderation.
How Did Shadowkat66 Avoid Plateaus
Shadowkat66 did not lose weight continuously throughout her journey - some weeks she'd gain, and some she'd lose nothing. Plateaus happened throughout the journey around the 176, 165, and 155 marks. Her advice is to not weigh yourself too often and not to make yourself go crazy every time a plateau shows up because it happens. The important thing is to get back on track.
