Introduction

A Reddit user named swaynedubs recently shared a post about his journey from weighing 238 pounds to 193 pounds in just three months. Realizing how unhappy he was with his body, he decided to take the necessary steps to lose weight and get healthy. Through hard work, a paleo diet, and a consistent workout routine, he was able to lose 45 pounds and feel better than ever before.

Diet

At the start of his weight loss journey, swaynedubs had poor eating habits consisting of fast food, carbs, and processed foods. He went straight to a paleo diet that cut out bread, pasta, potatoes, and rice, and added more protein, fruits, and nuts. After losing 20 pounds in the first month, he started adding some complex carbs to build muscle. He estimated his daily caloric intake to range from 1,300-1,800 calories. He emphasized that there is no secret to losing weight; it takes consistent healthy eating habits.

Workout Routine

After losing weight through diet alone, swaynedubs started to integrate regular workouts into his routine. His routine consists of low weight high reps (5x15) every day and regular cardio after each workout. He worked on different muscle groups each day of the week and rested on Sundays. In terms of cardio, instead of running he did a fast walk on the treadmill with the incline cranked up to keep his heart rate under 150 bpm. He made sure to work out every day and emphasized being consistent in order to see results.

Motivation

Swaynedubs stuck to his routine for three months and saw significant results. He credits his progress to staying positive and motivated. He had motivational quotes on his mirror and changed them regularly to keep himself inspired. His favorite quote was, ‘The only person I have to be better than is who I was yesterday.’ The support and encouragement he received from others on the Reddit post also helped him stay on track.

Conclusion

Swaynedubs lost 45 pounds in three months through consistent diet and workouts, emphasizing the importance of healthy habits and the right mindset when it comes to getting fit. While his journey may not work for everyone, he encourages people to experiment and try different methods until they find what works for them. There is no magic solution to weight loss, just hard work and dedication to a healthy lifestyle.
