Losing weight requires a lot of commitment, hard work and dedication, but when it is done right, the results can be astounding, as in the case of a 20-year old Reddit user, Dowsha. In just seven months, this young man lost an incredible 133lbs.

The Journey

Dowsha revealed that his weight loss journey involved a low-carb diet, which included plenty of fruits and limited soda intake. He also engaged in intense cardio and weight training regimen, that lasted between 2-3 hours, six to seven days a week.

The Diet Plan

With a Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) of approximately 3,500 calories, Dowsha consumed only 1,000 calories (three-quarters of it in one meal) per day, which left him with a calorie deficit of about 2,200-2,500 calories. While he admits that this calorie intake was not healthy for a controlled weight loss regime, Dowsha says that he loved pushing his body to its limits daily.

Weight Regimen

Dowsha's intense workout regimen included 90 minutes of cardio everyday followed by weight-training, with a bro-split and accessories. For instance, a typical chest day would involve bench presses, horizontal bench presses, incline bench presses, dips, extensions, pushdowns and kickbacks, delt raises, overhead presses and 45 minutes of cardio.

The Transformation

After seven months, Dowsha experienced an astounding transformation, dropping from 308lbs to 175lbs- a weight loss of 133lbs. Although he admits to having some loose skin, mainly around his lower belly, he says that it is not as bad as he expected it to be. Dowsha's incredible achievement is a testimony to what can be achieved through dedication and hard work.
