Introduction

Meet tbarrios47: a 25-year-old woman who managed to lose 52 pounds in just 17 months. You may wonder how she did it - well, wonder no more!

The Beginning

Before starting her weight loss journey, tbarrios47 was eating terribly and wasn't working out. However, she decided to take action and started watching what she ate and exercising regularly. In the first 6 months, she lost around 30ish pounds, but then hit a plateau at 157 pounds. Despite this, she kept pushing and managed to shed the last few pounds.

The Exercise Routine

Tbarrios47's exercise routine consists of training at a boxing gym three times a week and doing Orangetheory Fitness twice a week. She also does some weight training on the weekends and mixed in push-ups for good measure. Maintaining this routine helped her shed the pounds, and built muscle tone and strength.

The Diet

Tbarrios47 started eating cleaner and controlling her portions, which helped her achieve her weight loss goals. Although she still indulges on occasion, she doesn't drink alcohol as much as she used to. However, she didn't follow any fad diets and tried to find a calorie-counting program that worked for her, without depriving herself of things she enjoyed.

Staying Positive

The key to maintaining her healthy lifestyle and pushing through the challenges was tbarrios47's determination and ability to celebrate her successes. Instead of getting down about what she didn't like about her body, she celebrated her accomplishments. Even when it came to her boxing training, she took the time to acknowledge her successes while learning from her mistakes. She also found inspiration and motivation from other users on the r/loseit subreddit. When she was feeling lazy, reading about someone losing 200 pounds got her out the door and to the gym.
