Introduction

Reddit user wme123 recently posted his weight loss progress to the platform, wowing the community with his impressive 56lbs weight loss in just 19 weeks.

Start of the Journey

Wme123 began his journey in October, weighing somewhere around 300lbs. He initially cut out alcohol, soda, potatoes, and grains, but saw huge improvement when he started being more active, such as hiking with his family, resulting in him buying a Fitbit, Aria Scale and gym shoes.

Changes in Diet

Wme123 drastically changed his lifestyle by counting every calorie in his diet, eating only whole, single ingredients foods with zero added sugar and no extra salt. His main protein source is chicken breast, eggs and beans. He keeps a calorie range of 1800-2500 per day, but does not stress too much over going over or under since he primarily eats whole fruits and veggies.

Exercise Routine

Wme123 is dedicated to his exercise routine, which includes going to the gym for 5-6 times per week for 35-65 minutes of cardio, and lifting weights 4-5 times per week at home for at least an hour. Additionally, he takes 6-10 mile hikes 1-2 times per week depending on the weather. Wme123 believes that buying the Fitbit has helped him the most since it is a constant reminder to move.

Conclusion

Cutting out unhealthy foods, counting calories, and being actively engaged in cardio and strength-training exercises have helped him to lose 56lbs in 19 weeks.
