Committing to Weight Loss

After graduating from college in December, u/willeedee made a decision to change his life by committing to weight loss. This led him to start going to the gym consistently and do weight lifting for the first time in his life. Furthermore, he started biking as a recreational activity and tried the keto diet for a couple of months with no significant progress. However, he found that eating less, listening to his body, and making food the last priority in his life, and exercise, the first, was the way to go.

The Power of Community

In his Reddit post, u/willeedee shares how this subreddit, and progress pics, in particular, were instrumental in helping him to keep going when he faced tough times. Every time he felt like giving in to the temptation of eating unhealthy food, he reminded himself that others went through the same struggle but put the fork down instead of picking it up. He is extremely grateful to this fantastic community for all its help so far.

More Confident and Happy

Although still big, the weight loss has helped u/willeedee to feel much happier and confident about himself. He is now meeting new people and enjoying his life more by not letting his size define him. Additionally, he feels that he has more energy and is more motivated to try new things.

Lessons Learned

Throughout his journey, u/willeedee learned that no single method applies to everyone when it comes to losing weight. What worked for him may not work for others, and finding the right approach takes time and experimentation. However, he emphasizes that committing to make a change and not letting setbacks derail one's efforts are crucial.

Conclusion

U/willeedee's journey towards a healthier life is a testament that weight loss is possible, regardless of one's starting point. The key is to be mindful of what one eats, make exercise a priority, and seek support from friends or online communities. Ultimately, everyone deserves to feel happy and confident in their own skin, and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle can go a long way towards achieving that goal.
