Introduction

When poo_smudge celebrated her cakeday with a before-and-after post, little did she know that it would go viral. Her post on losing 66lbs piqued the interest of many people, who congratulated her on her feat and asked her for advice.

What She Did

At first, poo_smudge tried using the 'Lose It' app to track her calories. When it stopped working, she stopped counting calories and instead focused on being happy instead. She worked hard at her job, played and taught her son, and stopped eating to fill voids. Poignantly, she forgave herself for not being happy sooner and learned to love herself. She started living by doing what made her happy and plastered motivational quotes everywhere; even changing the way she presented herself to others starting walking towards the person she wanted to become.

The Benefits

As poo_smudge turned her focus inward and started living for herself, she found a surprising thing happening: she became too busy and happy to lay in bed and eat. She lost 66lbs naturally and noticed other benefits like her workplace promotion and her son flourishing under her care. In the end, what worked for her was finding happiness and inner peace first and foremost.

Lessons Learned

Poo_smudge’s experience shows that we tend to look outside when the solutions lie within. Instead of focusing on defeating the obstacles around us, we should focus first on becoming a better version of ourselves. Redirecting our focus towards our own fulfillment, hobbies and personal growth, will bust away mental clutter, negative self-talks and urges, and we'll thus meet the beautiful versions of ourselves that always wanted to be set free.

Conclusion

Poo_smudge’s journey reminds everyone out there that self-love and happiness are crucial to living a great life. Indeed, before losing weight or conquering challenges, ask yourself what you can do to make yourself happy. Remember, only when we take care of ourselves and find inner-peace, can we hope to achieve true happiness.
