Reddit user longlivethegovernor shared his incredible weight loss journey in a post that took the internet by storm. According to his post, the then 35-year-old who stood at 5 feet 9 inches initially weighed 250lbs but with determination and a change of lifestyle, he managed to lose 85lbs over a year.

The user revealed that they first focused on limiting their calorie intake to 1200 calories and then worked out on an elliptical or stair climber for an additional 800-1200 calories burned. Following that, longlivethegovernor revealed that he would come home and do 200 pushups and 200 curls.

While this routine may not be ideal for everybody, it worked for him. The user's progress was addictive as he continued to love going to the gym with time. The author admitted that while he had a flat stomach, he had to work harder to attain defined abs.
