Introduction: A Look into Tertiaryfunctions' Weight Loss Journey

Tertiaryfunctions, a M/28/6'3" reddit user, shared his impressive weight loss journey to inspire others to work towards their fitness goals. From September 2013 to August 2016, he lost 49lbs, going from 285lbs to 236lbs. In this post, we'll take a deeper look into his journey and the regimens he followed to achieve his weight loss goals.

First Attempt: Gym Workout

Tertiaryfunctions started his weight loss journey by hitting the gym. However, this yielded minimal results. Over 2 years, he only lost a couple of pounds through cardio and weight training. He then decided to switch his approach.

Long-Distance Walking and Clean Eating

Tertiaryfunctions then switched to long distance walking and eating a little cleaner. While this made a small impact on his weight loss, it wasn't enough. He then transitioned to eating a lot cleaner, which also only had a small impact. It wasn't until he started college in the Fall semester that he saw significant results.

College Regimen: Walking and Weight Training

In college, Tertiaryfunctions walked 3-7 miles per day and incorporated weight training into his regimen. He was able to lose 13lbs in just 3 months. However, he plateaued after that and couldn't push past it. That's when he decided to try the keto diet.

Keto: Results

After starting the keto diet in May, Tertiaryfunctions dropped 26lbs in just 10 weeks, putting him at a total of 49lbs lost over 3 years. He says the biggest impact came from the keto diet. However, it's important to note that what worked for Tertiaryfunctions may not work for everyone. It's essential to find what works best for individual needs and to not get discouraged if results don't come right away.
