Surgery and a high protein diet help woman lose 77lbs

Roserie, a 29-year-old female, has lost 77lbs through VSG surgery and a high protein diet. Her thyroid levels were messed up after pregnancy, and this surgery became her last resort.

Walking 5 miles a day and small portions help with weight loss

Walking 5 miles a day with her 2-year-old son in his stroller also helped Roserie to lose weight, especially over the summer and fall. She has three small meals and two small snacks a day, each with 60-80 grams of protein.

Roserie seeks advice for losing another 50lbs with bad back and no gym access

Roserie still wants to lose another 50lbs, ideally to get to 170-180lbs, and she hopes to be able to get back to horseback riding and chase her son around. Despite her success so far, she finds it difficult to do things with a bad back and no gym access.

Various suggestions given for exercising at home

Reddit users have given various suggestions for Roserie to exercise at home, such as checking out the beginner's routine in the FAQs of /r/bodyweightfitness, dancing to music with a Pandora station, trying DDP Yoga or resistance bands, and walking an hour a day outside. Some have also suggested online workouts like barre3, fitnessblender, and chair workouts on Sparkpeople. A few have even offered to give her their Insanity tapes.

Diet still crucial despite exercise limitations

While exercising at home can help Roserie work towards her goals, taking care of her diet is still crucial. One user shared that she lost around 60lbs simply by cutting out sweets, which was much easier than burning off the calories. Ultimately, Roserie hopes to be free of her back pain and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
