Reddit user zarook shares her 37 lbs weight loss journey over the past year. She started out at 215 lbs and is now at 178 lbs. Like many people on this journey, she had reached a plateau of 185 lbs and just couldn't seem to break through. She finally decided to try something different to break the plateau.

After starting a new job near her gym, Zarook came across a medically monitored meal replacement program that also required her to go to the gym at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes a session. She's been eating only their dehydrated food, bars, and shakes for about 8 weeks now, which is only 800 calories a day. The program keeps a close eye on her and has a step-by-step process to gradually increase her daily caloric intake from 800 to 1200.

Zarook's main motivation for taking on this crazy program is that she's going to Hawaii in May for the first time ever, and she doesn't want to feel like she has to cover up her body. With the program that she's on now, she doesn't have to think about food at all, and she eats four times a day, 200 cal a meal. She finally feels full and doesn't get hungry or grouchy.

Despite losing 37 lbs through the program, Zarook knows that she needs to be careful about how she maintains the weight loss after completing the program. She plans to reinstate her paleo status once she's finished with the program. She's done paleo before and managed to eat really healthy and balanced, and being at 1200 cal a day is usually where she feels the best.

Zarook's weight loss journey shows that everyone's journey is different, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution to weight loss. If you're struggling with a plateau like Zarook was, don't give up! There's always something else that you can try. Zarook found her solution through a medically monitored meal replacement program that may not work for everyone, but it worked for her. Try different things out and see what works best for you!
