Starting Out at 152lbs

Frogism123, a 25-year-old male, began his weightlifting journey at a starting weight of 152lbs. He sought advice on whether to bulk or not, and how to determine when to stop, given that he has only just began lifting. With encouragement from the reddit community, frogism123 decided to begin a clean bulk, with a goal of putting on muscle mass while limiting fat gain.

Bulking and Tracking Progress

Frogism123 kept track of his progress by taking progress pictures and tracking his weight regularly. He also adjusted his diet to make sure he was consuming enough protein and calories to support muscle growth. As the weeks went by, frogism123 noticed an increase in his weight, but also an increase in muscle mass, as evidenced by his progress pictures.

Challenges and Plateaus

Despite making gains, frogism123 experienced challenges and plateaus along the way. He encountered times when he felt like he wasn't making progress or was even regressing. However, through the support of the reddit community, frogism123 was able to overcome these challenges and stay motivated.

Cutting and Maintaining Progress

After several months of bulking, frogism123 decided to begin a cutting phase, where he would lower his calorie intake in order to lose fat and reveal the muscle he had gained. Although this was challenging, frogism123 continued to track his progress, and found that he was able to maintain most of the muscle he had gained during his bulk, while losing excess fat.

Try it Out for Yourself

Frogism123's weightlifting journey highlights the challenges and rewards of bulking and cutting, as well as the importance of tracking progress and seeking advice from a supportive community. If you're interested in pursuing weightlifting or bodybuilding, consider trying it out for yourself, and don't be afraid to seek guidance and support along the way.
