Beginning the weight loss journey

The first picture from November of 2012 is the first time the user started weighing himself. Before that, he weighed significantly more. He does not know how much more, but he had either approached or reached 400lbs. Last year was a huge emotional stall in the 280s. He would get close to breaking below 280, but a misstep or a dissatisfactory number on the scale would erupt an emotional trigger, and he would gain.

Emotional challenges along the way

This cycle continued from about April to pretty much now. But the user is feeling much more in control after taking up cooking and running. Running his first 5K was a major milestone. He is growing out of the reserved, distant habits he developed in his youth. For 24 years, he didn't know what *living* could actually feel like. He still has a long way to go, but he is definitely happier.

Discovering passions and having fun with progress photos

The user is genuinely passionate about learning to cook. He also enjoys trying out silly themes for each week and experimenting with different clothing styles to document his progress. He still has a lot to work on this year, but opportunities are knocking at his door, not just because of his impressive physical changes. He carries himself better, is more confident, and comfortable.

Stretching and flexibility

The user possesses an impressive level of flexibility, which he admits is partly natural, but stretching exercises for his back pain may have helped. Although he has been working hard to increase his physical activity, certain health concerns have prohibited him from engaging in certain exercises such as running. Despite this, he plans to continue working on his fitness in his own way.

Encouragement to try new things

The user's progress photos provide an entertaining and inspiring view of his weight loss journey. They show that weight loss can be fun and creative. His story incites others to try new things and follow their passions. As he discovers his own personal style and learns to love himself, he serves as an inspiration to us all.
