Introduction

Redplaid's weight loss journey started a year ago when she decided to take charge of her health. Her journey involves a fitness regimen and a restructuring of eating times, and cutting out excess carbs and sweet drinks. She lost approximately 33 pounds as per her Reddit post.

The Journey of Weight Loss

Redplaid encountered 6 months of plateau on her weight loss journey. After restructuring her eating times, e.g., cutting out food after 10 p.m., and eliminating excess carbs/sweet drinks, she focused on strength training, and finally started losing weight again. She used strength and weight training, as well as jogging, to achieve her goal weight. Running which was a challenge at the beginning became her passion—an integral part of her life that she also uses to bond with her furry companion.

Redplaid's Nutritional Approach

Redplaid's approach was not just about dieting, but more about making a sustained lifestyle shift. She used most of the week to research and plan for her cheat day where she had the liberty to cook and eat whatever she craved for. By doing this, she could eat healthy for the rest of the week without feeling bored since she had something to look forward to.

Although Redplaid did not attain her desired weight, she made commendable progress. She focused on maintaining a healthy range of body fat percentage, and increasing muscle mass.
