Diet Adjustments

Bigboij began his weight loss journey by tracking his calorie intake through the Noom app. He stopped going to buffets and reduced his daily calorie intake to about 2200-2400 calories. He also followed the Zig Zag diet to keep his body from becoming too efficient at using a specific calorie amount.

Meal Plan

Bigboij chose to eat what he wanted but watched his portion sizes. His typical dinner consisted of lean proteins like chicken, pork tenderloin, and tuna along with salad or steamed veggies. He had starches like rice and potatoes in smaller portions. He also had cheat days where he'd eat his favorite unhealthy foods but in moderation.

Incorporating Exercise

After losing 25-30lbs through diet changes, Bigboij began exercising by riding a bike and taking up cardio at a local gym. He slowly added strength training exercises along with cardio and aimed to work out 4 times a week. He took breaks if needed but never gave up on his routine.

Running Journey

Bigboij initially struggled with running but started by taking longer, more controlled breaths which helped him overcome his side pain. He kept at it. By the time of his first 5k, he was able to run the 3.1 miles without getting too winded. He has since run 5ks and can run 5 miles. He now aims to take up a half marathon.

Conclusion

Bigboij has lost 100lbs over 2 years and now weighs 226lbs with visible abs from his weightlifting routine. He encourages readers to find what works for them and to not give up on their weight loss journey. A combination of diet modifications, exercise, and perseverance worked for him.
