Introduction

The weight loss journey can be challenging, but with dedication and the right plan, achieving the desired results is possible. One woman, ButtsBuffet, took to Reddit to share her inspiring journey from being 330 pounds in 2018 to 189 pounds in 2022.

Diet Plan

According to ButtsBuffet, she achieved her remarkable feat through intermittent fasting (IF) and counting macros (IIFYM) in her eating window. She always struggled with her weight, but incorporating these two techniques, allowed her to lose weight steadily.

Explaining Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting (IF) is a popular eating pattern wherein you alternate between eating and fasting periods. In ButtsBuffet's case, she got into it primarily during 2019, with an 8:16 window where she would only eat between 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. For Friday through to Sunday, she was less strict with the timing of her fasting window.

Counting Macros

Counting macros or IIFYM involves tracking macronutrients which are protein, carbs, and fat, according to a set plan. ButtsBuffet combined this approach with IF, which helped her track her calorie intake better.

Takeaway

ButtsBuffet's transformation proves that expert consultations, professional diets, and weight loss supplements aren't the only ways to lose weight. Rather, we should involve ourselves in simple techniques like IF and macro counting, be consistent and disciplined, and believe in ourselves. Try it for yourself and see the difference!
