The Rude Awakening

Craftyhouseplant had a rude awakening when she turned 25 years old as her previously golden metabolism slowed down. Suddenly, she found herself without year-round sports to play and never learned how to work out on her own. As a result, she experienced difficulties watching her body change over the last couple of years.

Starting Over

Craftyhouseplant wasn't comfortable with the changes in her body and realized that she had no idea how to be healthy. So she started experimenting with new activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, and rock climbing. This allowed her to see which activity sparked her passion.

Rock Climbing Paves the Way

After trying out several activities and finding her passion, Craftyhouseplant began working out regularly by going to the newly opened rock climbing gym next to her office. She also fasted and began watching what she ate since April, which has helped her lose about 23lbs in just 4 months.

Feeling Confident

The progress of Craftyhouseplant's journey was not only visible through her weight loss but also her confidence. She expressed that feeling confident really added something to her overall wellness.

Takeaway

It's important to recognize that slowing metabolisms can happen as early as 25 years old. But instead of being discouraged, we should take a page out of Craftyhouseplant's book and focus on making healthier choices. Don't be afraid to try new activities, as they could lead you to discover something that you never knew you loved. It's all about finding what works for you.
