Introduction

As weight loss is a common goal for many, we take a look at how one Reddit user has approached their journey towards better health.

Starting point

The Reddit user, whose username is now deleted, began their weight loss journey at 265 pounds. They had tried many diets before, but this time they approached it with a new mindset.

Mindset matters

The user emphasized the importance of a positive mindset, stating that they stopped thinking about their weight loss journey from a place of self-punishment but from a place of self-love. They started to see food as fuel for their body rather than an emotional crutch.

Small changes make a difference

The user did not make drastic changes to their diet or exercise routine. Instead, they made small, sustainable changes over time. They started to track their calories and aimed to consume fewer calories than they burned each day. They also added daily walks to their routine.

Results

Through consistency and perseverance, the user was able to lose 75 pounds, bringing their weight down to 190 pounds. They note that although they still have some weight to lose, the most significant change has been their mindset, which has allowed them to approach their journey towards better health with more self-love and positivity.
