Introduction

Losing weight requires discipline, patience, and hard work. But what if you could lose weight without following a strict diet or intense exercise program? Reddit user Kevdog1800 achieved just that as he shed off 88 lbs in 10 months through his own unique approach.

No Strict Dieting Required

One of the most surprising things about Kevdog1800's weight loss journey is that he didn't follow a strict diet. In fact, he doesn't count calories at all. Instead, he does OMAD (one meal a day). He finds basic recipes that are simple and easy to put together, rotates them as staples, and finds things he enjoys that are within his calorie budget.

Beating Food Cravings

Food cravings can be challenging to overcome when trying to lose weight. Kevdog1800 found that by limiting his carbs, particularly processed ones, he got fewer cravings. He stopped getting sugar cravings after doing a sugar/carb cleanse for a couple of weeks. He still eats natural sources of carbs, just avoids processed ones. Also, by eating just one meal a day, he has fewer chances to snack, leading to less food consumption throughout the day.

Moderate Exercise

Kevdog1800 doesn't have a strict or intense exercise program. Instead, he goes to the gym three to five days a week, doing push/pull/legs and core splits. He also incorporates machines and a bit of cardio. But he's found that his approach works for him.

Motivation and Inspiration

Kevdog1800's weight loss journey is a testament to the fact that there's no one-diet-fits-all solution for losing weight. Instead, it's about finding what works for you personally, and having the motivation and dedication to stick with it. As he writes, "just find what works for you. As long as it somehow works out to eating less, you win!"
