From being skinny to gaining weight

Gentlesins7, a 22-year-old male who stands at 6'1, shared his weight gain journey on Reddit. He started out as someone who struggled with being super skinny, particularly during his high school years. Today, he has gained 40lbs over the course of three years, weighing 170lbs.

Forcing himself to eat more

Gentlesins7's weight gain journey involved trying to force himself to eat more. This means eating even when he is not hungry or eating beyond his comfort levels. He found that consuming calorie-dense foods, such as nuts and peanut butter, helped him put on weight.

Being more active

Apart from increasing his food intake, Gentlesins7 also made an effort to be more active. He didn't engage in a specific workout plan but instead found ways to be more physically active in his day-to-day life. He also has a labour-intensive job that helped him burn calories and build muscle.

Liking his body

Despite gaining weight successfully, Gentlesins7 still feels self-conscious about his body. However, he acknowledges that he is learning to like it. His journey shows that gaining weight is not just about physical changes but also a mental and emotional process of accepting oneself.

Takeaways from his journey

Gentlesins7's weight gain journey is an inspiration to those who struggle with being underweight or simply want to gain weight healthily. Some key takeaways from his journey include the importance of eating more, being more active, and finding a sustainable routine that works for one's lifestyle. However, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional before embarking on any significant dietary or exercise changes.
