Reddit user farmathekarma made a huge lifestyle change and lost 139lbs in 1 year. Through dedication and discipline, he was able to see remarkable results in a short amount of time.

The first thing he did was cut out fast food from his diet completely. Now he only eats it once a month. In its place, he established a 3:1 ratio for his diet comprised of 3 parts of vegetables and 1 part of meat. He would eat every vegetable on his plate before touching the meat or other dishes. This allowed him to eat more veggies and avoid the calorie-dense meat. His daily intake of food was just around 1000 calories.

After the first few months of just dieting, he began running using the Couch to 5k app, doing the app's daily runs of 3 days a week, but he took it up to 5 days. After 8 months of dieting, his weight had dropped from 365lbs to 226lbs, a significant change. At around 10 months, he began weightlifting to help tone his body and cut back on running.

Farmathekarma is a prime example of how much of one's life can be changed when you focus all your effort on achieving a goal, even when that goal seems distant at first. It’s amazing how much one's life can transform in just one year.

The key takeaway from this is that you don't need any fancy diet or equipment to achieve weight loss. It ultimately comes down to dedication and discipline. Additionally, his story illustrates that anything is achievable if you put your mind to it. So start your journey today and make yourself proud.
