M/21/6'1" [240 > 195 = -45lbs] (4 months) Helped my brother train for an MMA fight (was canceled due to unforseen circumstances) but this is the byproduct!. I was powerlifting for 4 months prior to the drop in weight. Used intermittent fasting to keep the diet on track. Cheers to daily wins!

Introduction

One Reddit user, NofapperLapser, shared their incredible weight loss journey with the community, going from 240 to 195 lbs in just four months. This drastic change was thanks to a combination of intermittent fasting, exercise, and powerlifting.

The routine

NofapperLapser's exercise routine was intense, with a focus on both striking and grappling. They ran a 5k on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, followed by two hours of striking and grappling practice. Wednesdays and Thursdays included a 30-minute HIIT session and 1.5 hours of striking and grappling. Saturdays and Sundays were rest days with optional active recovery.

The diet

NofapperLapser followed a calorie-restricted diet, eating between 1800-2000 calories a day with an emphasis on protein. They also incorporated intermittent fasting with a 6/18 eating/fasting window, and Saturdays were cheat days.

The mental benefits

While the physical changes were significant, NofapperLapser also noted the immense impact on their mental health. Eating healthy and working out helped decrease anxiety and depression, leading to an overall better outlook on life. This benefit is often overlooked but is just as important as the physical benefits.

Conclusion

NofapperLapser's weight loss journey serves as an inspiration to anyone looking to change their lifestyle and improve their well-being. It's a reminder that hard work pays off, and small daily wins can lead to significant progress over time. It's important to find a routine and diet that works for you, and to not be afraid to try new things. Above all, taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
