M/24/5'11" 215 lbs -> 178 lbs. I'm not quite done yet (goal 170) but I took a new employee photo today and had to share.

The beginning

The Reddit user, Vehk, wasn't happy about his weight when his employee photo was taken. He wanted to replace it with a photo that represented his current appearance. That's when he decided to make some changes to his lifestyle.

The process

Vehk achieved his weight loss goals by doing cardio, lifting weights, and tracking his calories. For cardio, he used Bodbot to plan his workout sessions. For calorie tracking, he used LoseIt.

Results

Vehk lost nearly 40 pounds and was only 8 pounds away from his goal of 170 lbs, which he wanted to reach before his wedding. He was overwhelmed by the difference between his old employee photo and his new one.

Reddit community support

Vehk was hesitant to post his progress pics or weight loss stories to r/progresspics and r/loseit until he reached his goal. But, he couldn't resist putting his before-and-after pics up. The Reddit community cheered him on, congratulating him on his progress and his upcoming wedding.

Lessons learned

Vehk's weight journey teaches us that with dedication and a lifestyle change, anyone can achieve their weight loss goals. His use of calorie tracking and controlled exercise are proven methods that anyone can use to reach their weight management goals.
