Introduction

In a world rife with an overwhelming number of overnight weight loss success stories, Lindzillax's journey of losing 71 lbs is a refreshing take on how embracing slow, thoughtful changes can help develop habits that foster sustainability.

Taking It Slow

Lindzillax took two years to lose 71 lbs because she had a history of eating disorders, and fast weight loss could trigger her. Embracing slowness allowed her to allow herself to make sustainable changes and gradually adjust her eating habits.

Thoughtful Eating Habits

One of the significant changes Lindzillax made was eating less processed foods, eating smaller portions, and eating out less. She learned to treat food differently and understand the role food played in her life. When she had cravings, she tried to identify if hunger, boredom, or sadness was causing them. She programmed herself to make nutritious food choices when hungry, manage boredom by staying productive, and engaged in activities that brought her joy when sad.

Incorporating Strength Training

Lindzillax recently incorporated strength training into her routine and looks forward to making more progress. Before ignoring the number on the scale, she feels it's essential to assess the strength and tone of her body. Strength training provides a form of self-care for her that amounts to something more significant than numbers on the scale.

Conclusion

Lindzillax's journey showcases the power in embracing an appreciative view of progress, honoring yourself as you go, and making slow, sustainable changes that evolve into healthy habits that can carry you a long way in the long run. It's a demonstration of respecting your limits, practicing self-compassion, and trusting that you have what it takes to make long-term changes in your life.
